JURY

These are the jury members of the Music Moves Europe Awards 2022! As the nominees are very diverse in style, genre, and personality, the jury comes from different backgrounds in the music industry as well.

The jury will select five artists as winners, with one artist to win the Grand Jury Prize. All winners will be revealed at the Music Moves Europe Awards ceremony on Thursday January 20, 2022 at ESNS, the Netherlands.

Alyona Alyona

Public Choice winner 2021, Ukraine

This former teacher raps in Ukrainian and always hits the bull’s eye with her lyrics. Her debut album Ribki (or Fischlein, a synonym for young women) is about women like Alyona who are not accepted by society. It became a viral hit in Ukraine where ‘Salischaju swij dim’ (‘I leave my house’) has become an unofficial anthem for the many youngsters who want to move away from their traditional life, on to a better future.

Gemma Bradley

DJ Host at BBC Radio 1, United Kingdom

Gemma Bradley is the go-to for the best new music coming out of Ireland and the UK. When she’s not hosting Radio 1’s BBC Introducing show, Gemma is a songwriter and artist in her own right; performing at Ireland Music week, Electric Picnic & Other Voices live. She embraces her favourite aspects of Pop music and meshes them with the finest, hand-picked sounds from R&B and Soul to create her own distinctive brand of sweet and delicious Pop – RnB.

Cindy Castillo

Management & Booking Mad Cool Festival, Spain

As CEO and Founder of Gigantic Music Management & Booking, Cindy knows her way around the music industry. She has been doing bookings and management for the famous Spanish rock and indie festival Mad Cool since the start, which makes her a skilled music professional. 2022 will see Mad Cool celebrate its eagerly anticipated fifth anniversary as it expands to five days.

Kevin Cole

DJ / Host at KEXP, United States

Kevin Cole is KEXP’s Senior Programming Advisor & Music Partnerships Strategist, and was responsible for leading the programmatic vision for on-air, online, and in person for 18 years as KEXP’s Chief Content Officer/Senior Director of Programming. Under Kevin’s lead, KEXP has evolved from a Seattle-based radio station to a globally revered nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching lives by championing and discovering music. Besides all that, Kevin was a DJ at First Avenue nightclub and had the honor of DJing for Prince at his private parties.

Bryan Johnson

Head of Artist and Industry Partnerships International at Spotify, United Kingdom/Sweden

Bryan Johnson is Head of Artist & Industry Partnerships International at Spotify. He is responsible for leading the development of creative partnerships and educational initiatives that enable artists and their teams to find and develop their audience. Bryan has been a touring & recording musician for the past 20+ years, playing drums for artists & composers including The Dead 60s, Basia Bulat, Cold Specks and Ilan Eshkeri.
