Amel Bent is a French pop singer whose fame started after reaching the semi-finals of the second season of Nouvelle Star and became the best-selling artist to emerge from the show. Her debut album “Un Jour d’été”, released in late 2004, sold over 550,000 copies in France, driven by the hit single “Ma philosophie”, which topped the charts for more than six weeks and sold over 500,000 copies. She followed with successful albums including “À 20 ans”, released in 2007, and later expanded her reach through appearances on Danse avec les stars and as a coach on The Voice Kids and The Voice France. Bent continues to be recognized for her prominent place in contemporary French pop.
