Basshunter is a Swedish singer, producer, songwriter, and DJ known for his Eurodance sound. He began producing music as a teenager and built an early online following by releasing tracks through internet communities and gaming platforms. His self-released breakout single “Boten Anna” became a viral phenomenon, leading to a deal with Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden. Basshunter released five studio albums after that, including “The Bassmachine”, “Bass Generation”, and “Calling Time”, earning multiple platinum certifications and topping charts in countries including the United Kingdom, Ireland, and New Zealand. His single “Now You’re Gone” reached number one in the UK for five consecutive weeks and became one of the decade’s best-selling singles there.
