Blog 27 was a pop duo formed in 2005 in Warsaw by teenage singers Tola Szlagowska and Ala Boratyn, blending pop, pop-punk, and early-2000s teen pop. Their debut album “LOL,” released in 2005, became a double-platinum bestseller in Poland and found audiences across Western Europe and Japan, powered by three charting singles: “Uh La La La,” “Hey Boy (Get Your Ass Up),” and “Wid Out Ya.” Following Ala’s departure in 2006, Tola continued the project with a new live lineup and released the second album “Before I’ll Die…” in 2008, expanding the band’s presence through television syncs and live performances. Blog 27 toured with the band Tokio Hotel and became a cultural reference point among Polish teens, often credited with popularising the emo fashion wave in the country.
