Buraka Som Sistema is a Portuguese electronic music group formed in Lisbon by Branko, Kalaf Ângelo and DJ Riot, later joined by Conductor. The group became known for pioneering Kuduro-inspired electro-dance music, first shown on their debut release “From Buraka to the World”. Their album “Black Diamond” brought international attention, leading to extensive touring, festival appearances and collaborations that helped introduce Kuduro-inspired music to global audiences. Their high-energy live performances earned them a strong following and made them one of Portugal’s most influential electronic acts of the era.
