Carla Bruni is an Italian-French singer, songwriter, and former model, known as one of the most influential artists of la chanson française of her generation. Born in Turin and raised in France, she began her career in fashion before turning to music in the late 1990s. Her debut album “Quelqu’un m’a dit”, released in 2002, sold over two million copies worldwide and spent 34 weeks in the French Top 10, earning her the Victoire Award for Female Artist of the Year in 2004. Since then, she has continued to write and perform, collaborating with artists such as Willie Nelson, Marianne Faithfull, Michel Legrand, and Julien Clerc. After four studio albums and her first live album, she released “French Touch” in 2017. Known for her warm, understated voice and lyrical sensitivity, Carla Bruni remains a defining figure in contemporary French music.
