Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish musical ensemble formed in Dublin in 2004 for a one-time televised concert that quickly grew into an international touring phenomenon. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2004, reached number one on the Billboard World Music chart and remained there for a record 81 weeks, establishing the group as a leading presence in modern Celtic performance. Over the years, Celtic Woman has released more than twenty albums and sold over nine million records worldwide. The group has done global touring, produced multiple concert films, and been named Billboard World Album Artist of the Year six times.
