Salvador Sobral is a Portuguese singer who rose to international fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with “Amar pelos dois”, composed by his sister Luísa Sobral. His performance earned Portugal its first Eurovision victory and achieved the highest points total under the contest’s modern voting system. Before his breakthrough, he appeared on Ídolos and later studied music in Barcelona, performing across Spain and at festivals such as Mexefest and EDP Cool Jazz. He released his debut album “Excuse Me” in 2016, followed by “Paris, Lisboa” in 2019 and “BPM” in 2021, the latter receiving a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album.
