Soap&Skin is the experimental music group of Austrian artist Anja Plaschg, who grew up in Katzendorf and began piano at six before studying violin and exploring electronic music as a teenager. She released her debut EP in 2008 following her performances as Nico in “Nico – Sphinx aus Eis”. Her first album “Lovetune for Vacuum” appeared in March 2009, charting in Austria, Germany, Belgium and France. Her father’s death in 2009 deeply shaped her second album “Narrow”, released in 2012. Plaschg also composed film scores, acted in the film “Stillleben”, and later released the albums “From Gas to Solid / You Are My Friend” and “TORSo,” while contributing music to productions such as “Breaking Bad”, “Dark”, “Sicilian Ghost Story”, and “Corsage”.
