This hit reached the top of the charts in more than ten countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and his home country, Belgium. In the spring of 2010, "Alors on Danse" was also released across the rest of Europe. In early December 2010, VRT announced that Stromae had received six nominations for the MIA Awards. He had the most nominations, including the most important MIA, 'Hit of the Year', which he also won. This was just the beginning of Stromae’s career. In 2013, he released the album "Racine carrée", featuring hits such as "Papaoutai" and "Formidable", further increasing his popularity.
