The Common Linnets is a Dutch band, founded by Ilse DeLange and Waylon. The band achieved international fame with their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, where they reached second place with the hit "Calm After the Storm". Their debut album "The Common Linnets" was a huge succes in Europe, achieving multiple platinum certifications. The band is known for their country- and bluegrass-inspired sound and warm, accessible music. After splitting with Waylon in 2014, Ilse DeLange and the remaining members continued the band and released their second album, "II," in 2015. The Common Linnets have won several awards, including the Marcel Bezençon Awards, and remain an influential act in the Dutch music scene.
