The darkness is a British hard rock band formed in Lowestoft in 2000, consisting of Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Rufus Tiger Taylor. Their fame began with their debut album Permission to Land in 2003 featuring some of their biggest hits like “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and “Love Is Only a Feeling.” The album went quadruple platinum in the UK and earned them three BRIT Awards in 2004, including Best British Group and Best Album. Known for their theatrical stage presence and high-energy performances, the band reunited in 2011 and continues to tour internationally, cementing its legacy as one of Britain’s most distinctive modern rock bands.
