The Dø
France
The Dø were a Finnish–French indie pop duo formed in Paris in 2005 by Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy after meeting while composing music for the film Empire of the Wolves. They built early attention through soundtrack work and a self-released EP before expanding their presence on Myspace in 2007, where songs like “On My Shoulders” and “Playground Hustle” helped sell out their first Paris concerts. Their debut album “A Mouthful” was released in 2008, debuted at number one in France, and led to extensive touring across Europe, Australia and North America, including over 200 shows and major festival appearances.
