The Raveonettes
The Raveonettes
Denmark
The Raveonettes is a Danish indie rock duo formed in Copenhagen by Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, known for close two-part vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers combined with electric guitar and noise. They recorded the mini-album “Whip It On” and followed with the full-length “Chain Gang of Love”. Their sound juxtaposes 1950s and 60s structural simplicity with intense electric instrumentation and often dark lyrics. The Raveonettes continued releasing albums including “Lust Lust Lust”, “Observator” and the surprise release “Pe’ahi”, and remained active into the 2020s with touring and new music.
