The Ting Tings are an English indie pop duo formed in Salford in 2007 by Katie White and Jules De Martino. Their debut album “We Started Nothing” was released in 2008 and quickly rose to number one on the UK Albums Chart, driven by the hit single “That’s Not My Name,” which topped the UK Singles Chart and reached the US Billboard Hot 100. The album produced four singles, including “Shut Up and Let Me Go,” which earned an MTV Video Music Award and expanded their international visibility through festival appearances and tours across Europe, North America and Australia. They followed with the albums “Sounds from Nowheresville”, “Super Critical”, “The Black Light”, and “Home”, continuing to evolve their sound.
