Woodkid is the stage name of French singer, director and designer Yoann Lemoine. He is known for his cinematic approach to music, creating big, film-like sounds that are closely connected to striking visuals and music videos.
He started his career as a graphic designer en music video director, collaborating with artists such as Drake, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Pharrell Williams, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.
Woodkid gained recognition as a musician with his 2011 EP "Iron", followed by his debut album "The Golden Age" in 2013, featuring hits like "Run Boy Run", which was certified five times diamond.
His music is characterized by dramatic orchestras, deep emotional resonance, and a blend of classical and contemporary elements. Woodkid has also composed for film, television, and fashion, including work for Louis Vuitton’s shows and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
